Dive startAdventure cruise the deep blue waters of South-east Asia while enjoying all the comforts of a first rate motor yacht. Scuba dive or snorkel on pristine coral reefs, watch gorgeous sunsets while anchored in secluded bays, relax on palm-fringed beaches, trek through real tropical rainforest, kayak along the unspoilt coastline of beautiful tropical islands. Enjoy all these activities while being looked after by a professional crew dedicated to making you happy all of the time, not just some of the time.

Ocean Rover is a newly built steel vessel measuring 100ft (30m) by 32ft (8m), built, owned and operated by Fantasea Divers, a company with over 20 years of cruising experience in Asian waters. At 279 tons she is a very stable and seaworthy vessel and features eight private cabins for a maximum of 16 passengers. All cabins have private bathrooms, individually controlled air-conditioning and plenty of storage. A tastefully designed salon, a spacious sundeck and a unique watersports staging area known as the whale-deck complete the package.

Sea kayaks for singles and couplesOcean Rover has a huge reputation. She and her crew spend half the year in Phuket, conducting liveaboard diving cruises in the Andaman Sea and the other half in Manado, Northern Sulawesi. While voyaging between these two locations we discovered the delights of the east coast of Malaysia: a string of lush tropical islands, evenly spaced along the coast, beckoning us at every sunrise.

Charming Pulau Aur (pulau = island in Malay), dramatic Pulau Tioman where movie blockbusters South Pacific and King Kong were filmed, laid-back Pulau Tenggol, the Pulau Redang mini-archipelago and the uniquely shaped Pulau Perhentian.

All of these islands offer two or more of the activities available on our Adventure Cruises: scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking and jungle trekking. All these activities are included in the cruise price. Other favorite pastimes are swimming, beachcombing or just simply relaxing while enjoying the superb food and service on board. Or enjoy balmy nights on deck, gazing in awe at the luminous sea or at those billions of stars normally blocked out by the glare of civilization. Such is life at sea…

Exploring Tenggol IslandDuring September and October 2005 Ocean Rover will be based in the port of Kuantan on Malaysia’s east coast. Kuantan is near the resort city of Cherating, which is home to one of Asia’s largest Club Meds as well as several other resorts. Flying to Kuantan is easy with several flights each day from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore with Malaysia Airlines.

Ocean Rover will depart on 8 day / 9 night cruises that visit all the islands along the coast. The total distance covered during this cruise is approximately 550 nautical miles. The boat cruises at 10 knots and is able to cover the distances between the islands at night so there is no time lost for activities during the daytime.

This is the kind of once-in-a-lifetime experience all of us would like to enjoy. Join us for an unforgettable cruise!
